Employee attaching photo proof to a completed store task on mobile

Photo verification on tasks

Require photo proof when tasks are marked complete so owners and managers review timestamps, not verbal assurances.

Why photo proof

Verbal confirmation fails when you are not on-site. Photo verification creates a timestamped record that a task was done — cooler temps logged, floors mopped, equipment checked.

Enabling photo requirements

  1. When creating or editing a task template, enable Require photo on completion.
  2. Employees see a camera prompt when marking the task done.
  3. They can attach up to 10 photos if multiple angles help.

Reviewing proof

  1. Managers open Dashboard → Tasks and filter by completion date or location.
  2. Click a completed task to view photos and completion timestamp.
  3. Use Overview for a quick pulse on what finished today.

Best practices

Require photos on high-stakes tasks: opens, closes, food safety, equipment checks. Keep optional photos on low-risk recurring items to avoid fatigue.

Tip: Tell your team what a good proof photo looks like — wide shot of the completed work, not a blurry close-up.
